US CAR MOVERPrivacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how US Car Mover (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our website and vehicle-transport booking and tracking services (the “Services”). We are a licensed auto-transport broker arranging vehicle shipping between customers and vetted motor carriers.
1. Information we collect
- Account & contact: name, email, phone, company, and account type you provide at signup or onboarding.
- Shipment details: pickup and delivery locations, vehicle make/model/year/VIN, and condition/inspection photos.
- Location data: during an active shipment, the assigned driver's device shares GPS location so you can track your vehicle. Driver location is shared only while a load is active and with the driver's consent; we do not track drivers off the clock.
- Usage & device: log data, IP address, and strictly-necessary cookies used to keep you signed in and secure the Services.
2. How we use it
- To provide quotes, arrange and dispatch transport, and let you track and receive documents.
- To send you service messages (booking, dispatch, milestone, and delivery notifications) by email and, where you opt in, SMS.
- To verify carriers' operating authority and insurance, prevent fraud, and secure the platform.
3. SMS / text messaging
If you provide a mobile number and opt in, we may send transactional shipment updates by SMS. Message & data rates may apply; message frequency varies by shipment activity. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Opting out of SMS does not affect your ability to use the Services.
4. Service providers we share data with
We share the minimum data necessary with vendors who process it on our behalf: Supabase and Vercel (hosting, database, authentication), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS, where enabled), and Cloudflare (security/bot protection). To identify vehicles and verify carriers we query government and public data services, including the FMCSA (carrier authority/insurance), NHTSA vPIC (VIN decoding), and the U.S. Census / geocoding services for addresses. If you sign in with Google, Google processes your authentication. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies
We use only strictly-necessary cookies to maintain your authenticated session and protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Data retention
We keep account and shipment records for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and broker record-keeping obligations. Condition/inspection photos are automatically deleted approximately 7 days after delivery; signed legal documents (bills of lading, proof of delivery, agreements) are retained for the period required by law.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including under the California CPRA and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. You can update most details in your account, and you can request access or deletion by emailing privacy@uscarmover.com. We will verify and honor valid requests as required by law.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted by role and row-level security, and privileged actions require authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Questions? Contact privacy@uscarmover.com.
